[UPDATED] Syllabus of RBI Security Guard and Exam Pattern

Reserve Bank of India invited applications from eligible ex-servicemen candidates for the posts of Security Guards in various offices of the Bank. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive Test (Online Test) followed by Physical Test.
If You have applied for the post of security guard of RBI and want to know about the syllabus and exam pattern of it then you are at right place.
Syllabus of Online test for the recruitment of security guards of RBI has been provided here. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks in Online Test. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Physical test which will be of qualifying in nature. From the candidates who qualify in the physical test, a merit list based on the marks scored in the online test shall be prepared.

Exam Pattern of Online test

The online test is of 100 marks. There will be 100 questions from three subjects. Duration of the test is 80 minutes. Online test will include Test of Reasoning, General English and Numerical Ability. Out of the above three papers, Test of Reasoning and Numerical Ability will be in bilingual, i.e. English and Hindi.There will be negative marking for wrong answer and 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass with minimum prescribed mark in each subject.

  • Verbal Reasoning - Analogy, Odd pair, Classification, Missing characters, Coding-Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Arrangement, Syllogism & Venn Diagrams, Assumption or Inference or Conclusion, Clock & Calendar
  • Non-Verbal Reasoning - Cube and dices Sequence of figures, Finding missing numbers or letters, Paper-cutting, folding, punching, Mirrors and water reflection, Configuration, fitting pieces, odd pieces, etc.
